Lessons

Patrick is now offering uilleann piping lessons on alternating Saturdays at the Irish American Heritage Center, 4626 North Knox, Chicago, Illinois. He started the lessons in September 2010 and is adding new students every month.

Students will learn the elements of technique and a broad selection of traditional repertoire. Class time will also be devoted to listening to classic recordings of piping and other traditional music in order to cultivate aural learning skills needed for success as a traditional musician.

On most of the Saturdays that the lessons occur, we are also presenting an Uilleann Pipers' Gathering in the Fifth Province Pub at the Irish American Heritage Center from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Come out and enjoy uilleann piping tunes with dinner at the Center. : )
